Evangeline Womack

Evangeline P. Womack, age 79, of Edgewood Drive, Forest City, NC passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at the Rutherford Hospital. She was born April 6, 1929 in Rutherford County, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Solon 'Monk' Womack. She had been a member of Florence Baptist Church in Forest City for over 50 years having joined November 3, 1957. Evangeline had worked as a customer service representative for Sears retiring after 30 years of service.

She is survived by one son, Scott Womack and wife Charlotte of Rutherfordton, NC; two daughters, Susan Biggerstaff and husband Don of Morganton, NC and Lee Ann Critcher and husband Jim of Spindale, NC; one sister, Peggy Cann of Columbia, SC, nine grandchildren, Claire Burrell, Mark Biggerstaff, Lee Biggerstaff, Annah Watters, Jeff Womack, Sarah Womack, Michael Critcher, David Critcher, and Allison Critcher; and four great grandchildren.
