Elizabeth Kersey

Elizabeth Ruth Kersey, age 88, of Asheland Drive, Ellenboro, NC passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the Rutherford Hospital. She was born April 18, 1920 in Fayette County, West Virginia to the late John Quincy Walker and Mary Virginia Irvin Walker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church of Forest City, NC. She was a homemaker and an artist. She loved to teach art and was an avid reader.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 68 years, Paul B. Kersey, Sr. of the home, two sons, FR. Paul Bernard Kersey, Jr. of Honduras and John Daniel Kersey and wife Ethelvina of Honduras; two daughters, Donna Marie Kersey of Rutherfordton, NC and Mary Catherine Rappold and husband Robert of South Charleston, WV. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
