Elizabeth "Betty" Jewell

Elizabeth “Betty” Jewell, age 83, of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, April 29 at her home.

Betty was born Monday, October 12, 1942 in Camden, New Jersey to the late Charles D. and Isabel Eirich. She worked for many years as a Slot Supervisor for Resorts International in Atlantic City. Betty’s passion was spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Louette Grafe and a daughter-in-law, Anne Mathis-Grafe.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Robert Grafe, Jr. (Jeanine) of Wildwood, New Jersey and Richard Grafe, Sr. of Shelby; grandchildren, Eric Grafe, Richard Grafe, Jr. (Janie), Danielle Miller; great grandchildren, Siera Miller, Aryelle Miller (Zo), Jaxen Miller, Juliette Grafe, Oliver Grafe and a great great-grandchild, Kamjii McNeal.

No formal services will be conducted. Betty’s ashes will be placed next to her daughter on a later date.
