Elaine Padgett

Elaine Simmons Padgett, age 81, of Mooresboro, died Monday, January 29, 2018 at her residence.
Born April 2, 1936 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Creed and Iris Simmons. She was a homemaker and a Jehovah Witness. Elaine was a dedicated wife and was a faithful caregiver to her husband.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Willie Padgett; brother, Charles Simmons and a grandson, Darmie Langley.
Survivors include her husband of thirty-five years, Calvin Padgett; three sons, Kenneth E. Langley of Portland, Oregon, Dwayne A. Langley and wife, Debra of Bostic and Steven D. Langley and wife, Larae of Mooresboro; three grandchildren, David Langley, Aaron Langley and Leslie Flack. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held for the family.
