Doris R. Daves

Doris R. Daves, age 92, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Doris was born Friday, January 13, 1933 in Rutherford County to the late Monte Melvin Ray and Virginia Gault Ray. She was a graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1951. Doris was a dedicated homemaker, an avid reader and loved to travel. Her passion for travelling took her to many national landmarks and international cities. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bostic.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Zeno Daves.

Left to honor her memory are her sister, Shirley Rash and brother, Bill Raye both of Bostic; nephews, Joseph Rash (Jill), Barry Rash (Angela), Gary Rash (Jennifer), Tommy Raye (Danielle); numerous great nephews, great nieces and cousins, which includes a special cousin, Lynn Jenkins.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 24th at Cliffside Cemetery with Reverend Robert Rash officiating.
