Doris Hubbard, age 84, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2026. She was born on August 24, 1941, in Shelby, North Carolina, and was a longtime resident of Douglasville, Georgia.
Doris was the beloved daughter of Grady Cartee and Alma Scruggs, both of whom preceded her in death. A devoted homemaker, Doris took great pride in raising her children and keeping a well-kept home—something she was known to be very particular about. Her home was always a reflection of her care, love, and attention to detail.
She had a creative spirit and loved crafting and jewelry making. Doris enjoyed trips to the beach and was known for her resilience, strength, and unwavering faith. A Christian by faith, she was sweet as could be, outgoing, and truly loved life. She was also an avid collector of angel figurines and had a special place in her heart for her grand fur babies, whom she adored.
She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Hubbard (Julie Triplett); her son, Randall Hubbard; and her sister, Hazel Hall. Doris was preceded in death by her siblings.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 14th at Floyd’s Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
