Donna Laughter

Donna Laughter, age 43, of Ellenboro, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby.

Donna was born Monday, October 25, 1982 in Rutherford County to Dianne Laughter who resides in Ellenboro and to the late Larry Laughter. She was a graduate of R-S Central High School and worked as a customer service representative for Trelleborg Industries for ten years. Donna’s greatest priority and passion was her family and friends. She was an avid Duke basketball fan and loved trying out new food and tastes as she traveled to distant places. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Colleen Ellenburg.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Dianne Laughter of Ellenboro; sister, Penny Laughter Marshall (Kelly) of Forest City; brother, Larry Laughter (Araminta) of Forest City; grandchildren, Christian Beheler, Samuel Beheler, Lydia Beheler, Alexandria Laughter, Victoria Laughter, Nicholas Laughter; special nieces, Abbie Johnson and Chole Johnson and a host of dear friends; she is also survived by her pets, Sprill and Meeko.

A memorial service will be conducted at 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 29th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Her urn will be buried with her father at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery on Friday, November 6th.
