Donald Hammond

Don Hammond, age 72, of 624 Washington Street, Forest City, NC passed away Tuesday November 6, 2007 at the Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, NC. He was born September 1, 1935 in Shelby to the late E. L. Hammond and Linnie Evans Hammond. He was an auto mechanic and co-owner of Hammond Alignment. He was a U S Air Force veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Hammond is survived by one son, Eric Hammond and wife Jennifer of Salisbury, NC; one daughter, Teresa Hammond of Greenville, SC; a brother, Hugh Lee Hammond of Forest City, NC and a sister, Frances Byers of Caroleen, NC. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Mycah Hammond, Janet Hammond, Joshua Drye, and Mary Drye.
