Delores Smith

Delores T. Smith, age 69, of Rutherfordton, died Sunday, May 17, 2020 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Delores was born April 10, 1951 in Rutherford County to the late Walter Thompson and Myrtle Edwards Thompson. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1969. Delores worked as a seamstress for DEB Manufacturing and as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and loved spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Delores was of the Christian faith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of fifty-one years, James B. Smith; three children; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel.
