Dee Wilson

Dee Wilson, age 72, of Forest City, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at her home.

Dee was born Saturday, October 11, 1952 in Charlotte, NC to the late Andrew Guffey and Martha Drum Evans Guffey. She was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1970. She was the owner and operator for many years of the Time Out Ice Cream and Deli in Forest City. Dee was known as a horticulturist who loved gardening and growing plants. She also enjoyed quilting and canning and was known as the maker of the famous “Breakfast Bowl.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Evans.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Glen Wilson (Karol), Christy McMullens (Christopher) and Adam Wilson (Kassie) all of Forest City; sisters, Pat Isenhour, Shirley Connor and Debbie Robbins all of Forest City and a brother, Ron Guffey of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Seth Wilson, Jacob Wilson, Isabella Wilson, Nahum McMullens, Naomi McMullens, Isaiah McMullens, Tajae McMullens, Chance Wilson and Blake Wilson; great grandchildren, Brinnley Faith Wilson, Calypso McMullens, Cooper Wilson and Sadie Wilson.

There will be a private celebration of Dee’s life held by the family.
