David Scoggins

David Scoggins, age 54, of Caroleen, died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at his residence.
Born August 15, 1960 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late Beauford Scoggins and Mamie Queen Scoggins. David worked in textiles for many years, having worked for National Textiles and Mastercraft. He was a faithful member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church and loved his dog, "Little Poppy."
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Scoggins and two brothers, Bobby and Danny Scoggins.
Survivors include his sister, Louise Deyton and husband, Scott of Caroleen; brother, Andrew Scoggins and wife, Janice of Bostic; niece, Melissa Scoggins and two nephews, Timothy Hudson and Anthony Hudson and wife, Victoria.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Billy Poe Jones officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
