Danny White

Thomas Daniel White of Forest City – Dad to his sons, Grandpa to his grandkids, and Danny to everyone else – trusted his life to Jesus and was committed to his family. Danny, age 83, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Danny was born Saturday, May 4, 1940, in Rutherford County to the late Beacher White and Edna Estep White. He worked in textiles for twenty-six years, which included Burlington Industries and Cone Mills-Cliffside. Danny was talented in auto bodywork and painting cars. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Mooresboro.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Paulette White.

Those left to treasure his memory include his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Glenda Kay White; two sons, Brian White (Katherine) of Forest City and Gary White (Shannon) of Mooresboro; nine grandchildren, Brannon White, Brett White, Nathanael White (Mollee), Aerin Garza (Henry), Joelle Person (Jason), Elise White, Anya White, Susanna White, and Tobias White; and four great grandchildren, Karis Garza, Roslyn White, Wilhelmina White and Elmira White.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Friday, March 29, 2024, at the Trinity Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mike Frazier officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:30 pm on Friday prior to the service.
