Danny Fowler

Danny R. Fowler, age 69, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Sunday, October 28, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolinas in Forest City.
Danny was born June 7, 1949 in Rutherford County and was the son of the late Hollis Fowler and Lora Blackwell Fowler. Danny was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. He then worked in construction as a carpenter most of his life.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy L. Fowler, Larry R. Fowler, Charles Ray Fowler and a sister, Barbara Ann Skipper.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Amy Greene and husband, Claude and Karen Carpenter and husband, Spencer; four sisters, Betty Graham, Margie Ruff, Mary Helen Greene (Preston) and Linda Anders (Clayton). He is also survived by four grandsons, Brandon Greene, Dylan Greene, Nicholas Carpenter, Joshua Carpenter and a great-grandson, Brayden Greene and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Harrelson Funeral Home. A graveside service will then follow at 3:00 p.m. in Broad River Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors being accorded by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
