Connie Butler

Connie Towery Butler, age 89, of Forest City, NC, died Friday, May 4, 2012 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Connie was born September 18, 1922 in Cherokee County, SC to the late William Fletcher Towery and Cynthia Voronia Hunt Towery. In addition to being a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother, she also worked as a secretary. She was an excellent seamstress and a longtime member of Floyd's Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Jarrett Foster; four sisters and five brothers.
Among those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 73 years, James 'Bud' Marvin Butler, Jr; two daughters, Joyce Hughey and husband, Dean of Gaffney, SC; Linda Foster and husband, Jimmy of Forest City and one son, Ronald S. Butler and wife, Cathy of Asheville. She is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
