Clara Lowery

Clara Sue Taylor Lowery, age 97, of Caroleen, NC, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at her residence.
Clara was born on October 30, 1913 in Rutherford County to the late Jonathan Fletcher Taylor and Margaret Bradley Taylor. She worked for Burlington Industries for over 45 years before her retirement and was a longtime and faithful member of Caroleen Baptist Church. Clara loved to travel and was known for her keen sense of humor. She enjoyed life.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Norman Lowery and by several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her three daughters, Shelby Jean Greene of Gaffney, SC, Brenda Davis and friend, Steven Vaughan of Wilmington, NC and Linda Hardin and husband, Arnold, of Caroleen; one son Kenneth Norman Lowery and wife, Shirley, of Shiloh; eight grandchildren, Ricky Hardin, Angela Hardin Lewis, Mark Greene, Gina Davis, Kim Grindstaff, Sonya Crawford, Tammy Killen and Alicia Fowler. She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
