Kathy Waters, age 69, of Rutherfordton, passed away Friday, February 6, 2026 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Kathy was born Friday, June 15, 1956 to the late Robert Samuel Parker and Irene Bradley Parker. She worked in textiles for many years and was a faithful member of Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church. Her greatest love and joy was being able to spend time with her granddaughter, Abby.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Jody Parker, Ray Parker, Lee Parker and sisters, Virginia Doty, Martha Green, Hattie Green and Mary Conner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Paul Waters of Rutherfordton; sister, Jesse Smith of Gilkey; brothers, Raymond Parker of Polk County and Charles Parker of Spindale. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Abbigail Waters.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 11th with Reverend Chad Sisk and Reverend Buddy Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in the Fellowship Holiness Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
