Bruce Wayne Givens, Sr., age 65, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026 at his home.

Bruce was born Thursday, October 6, 1960 in Rutherford County to the late Bobby Lee Givens and Ruby Atchley Givens. Bruce worked for Reeves Brothers for over twenty years. He was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves and enjoyed watching the Andy Griffith Show. Above all, he loved spending time with his family. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Givens; an infant son, Bruce Wayne Givens III; brother, Kenneth Givens and sister, Effie “Bonnie” Lowery.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Haley Givens of Chesnee, Bruce Givens, Jr. of Forest City, Shannon McEntire of Polk County and Adrea Givens of Forest City; sisters, Joyce Hutchins and Donna Hendrix; brother, Jeff Givens; grandchildren, Mitchell Bailey, Cody Bailey, Jamie Montieth, Courtney Williams, Riley Williams, Alexis Parker, Austin Givens, Felix Nieto, Luna Nieto; eleven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

In accordance with Bruce’s wishes there will be no formal services conducted.
