Brenda Gowan

Brenda Gail Gowan, age 52, of Kannapolis, NC, died Friday, June 21, 2013 at the Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Brenda was born October 15, 1960 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Wallace Eugene "Red" Gowan and Doris Greene Gowan who resides in Forest City. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1978 and worked as a CNA. Brenda was of the Baptist Faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, survivors include three sons, Chris Gowan and wife, Jeanann of Bostic, Billy Jones and wife, Sarah of Saluda and Brian Lee and wife, Ashley of Kannapolis; two brothers, Randy Gowan and Jody Gowan both of Forest City. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Autumn Gowan, Harley Jones, Lisa Jones, Zachary Lee and Cameron Lee.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Harrelson Funeral Home. A private inurnment will be held on a later date.
