Betty Jones

Betty Greene Jones, age 89, of Forest City, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at her residence.
Born April 7, 1924 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Greene and Victoria White Greene. She was a homemaker and a member of Crestview Baptist Church. Betty enjoyed crocheting and camping. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, John M. Jones; infant daughter, Linda Jones; two sisters, Shirley Gilbert and Syble Barnes.
Survivors include her son, Doug Jones and wife, Lee Ann of Forest City; two granddaughters, Kelly Moore and husband, Eric and Allison Jones; three great-grandchildren, Braxton Jones, Canaan Piercy and Jake Moore.
A gathering of remembrance will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Harrelson Funeral Home with Reverend Lanny J. Funchess officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
