Barbara Wyatt

Barbara L. Wyatt, age 80, of Cooperline Road, Caroleen, NC, died Wednesday, August 29, 2013 at her residence.
Barbara was born September 25, 1932 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Francis J. Grady and Jane M. Cornell Grady. She worked as a secretary for Rutherford Hospital for many years and was a homemaker. Barbara was a member of Caroleen United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Women of the Moose for thirty-four years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William Grady, Alan Grady and James Grady; one step-brother, Bret Gagner and a grandson, Matthew Wyatt.
Survivors include her husband of almost sixty-two years, Charles "Doc" Wyatt; daughter, Barbara Vickers and husband, Rodger of Henrietta; two sons, Micheal Wyatt and wife, Francine of Millville, Utah and Mark Wyatt and wife, Allison of Ellenboro; two sisters, Joan Drake of San Diego, CA and Patricia Pruitt of Forest City; three brothers, Paul Gagner and wife, Lorie of Forest City, Hugh Gagner of Asheville and John Gagner and wife, Sis of Tennessee. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Caroleen United Methodist Church with Reverend Lucy Robbins officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, NC. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
