Barbara Cole Harrill

Barbara Cole Harrill, age 71, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026 at her home.

Barbara was born Saturday, October 2, 1954 in Rutherford County to the late Barney William Cole, Sr. and Eunice Burean Bailey Cole. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1972. Barbara worked in textiles and plastics manufacturing for most of her life. Her favorite pastime was taking care of her pet dog, “Bear.” She was of the Baptist faith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her siblings, Martha Jewel Bailey of Polk County, Barney Ray Cole (Francis) of Rutherfordton, Jerry Cole (Herlinda) of Madison, Alabama, Larry Cole of Harris, NC and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, March 9th at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jerry Ruppe officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
