Andy Terry, age 43, of Ellenboro, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.
Andy was born Friday, April 23, 1982 in Rutherford County to Tammy Wells McMahan who resides in Ellenboro and the late Allen Eugene Terry. He was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 2000. Andy drove a delivery truck for Kimbrell’s Furniture Store for many years and was a Concrete Barrier Installer for Curtin Trucking and Drainage Inc. located in Charlotte. Andy was an outdoorsman who was an avid fisherman and hunter. Andy donated his organs and through his generous gift he was able to give a longer life to four people.
In addition to his father, those who preceded him in death were his PawPaws, Joe Lowery and Bob Wells and grandparents, David and Hattie Terry.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Joy Terry; mother, Tammy Wells McMahan (Kenneth) of Ellenboro; mawmaw, Joyce Lowery of Caroleen; daughters, Casey McFarland (John) of Forest City, Taylor Hawkins (Nicholas) of Forest City and Alexis Terry of Rutherfordton; brother, Allen Terry (Abreainn) of Forest City; sisters, Amanda Sherrill (Jarred) of Lonoke, Arkansas, Nancy Reyes (Zack) of Chesapeake, Virginia and Brandy Jenkins (Edward) of Apex, NC; grandchildren, Jaxson Baugh, Jamison Hawkins, Madelyn Hawkins, Natalie Swink, Hannah Swink and Lacey Smith; and best friend, Susie Swink.
A memorial service will be conducted at 8:00 pm on Friday, June 20th at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Montie Montieth officiating. The family will receive friends one prior to service time at the funeral home.
