Albert Mcdaniel

Albert Lee McDaniel, age 78, of Rutherfordton, died Friday, April 24, 2015 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born on September 12, 1936 in Gwinnett County, Georgia, he was a son of the late Bob Lee McDaniel and Ruby Nell Irvin McDaniel. Albert worked for Parton Lumber Company for over twenty-five years and was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lovie Blanton.
Survivors include one son, Mark McDaniel of Forest City; grandson, Derek Lee McDaniel; three brothers, Rufus "Doc" McDaniel and wife, Wanda of Cliffside, Bob McDaniel and Danny McDaniel both of Cleveland County; two sisters, Polly Pearson also of Cleveland County and Mary Funderburk and husband, Calvin of Rock Hill, NC. He is also survived by caregivers, Katherine and Beauford Guffey of Forest City and his beloved pet dog, Coco.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Scott Holland officiating. The family will receive friends from six o'clock until service time at the funeral home. The body will lie in state from eight o'clock in the morning until service time on Monday evening.
